Tearing down the crank?

T500 with about 30,000 miles
Am I nuts to do it myself?
I 've seen the photos of the DIY jig for splitting the crank, looks straight forward to build.
I guess the only thing that makes me hesitate is what the service manual calls
'crankshaft shake' caused by "insufficient tightness between the crank pins, center crankshaft and crank wheels, worn bearings or by stress put on the crankshaft when assembling the crankcase".
Has anyone experienced this after tearing down their own crank?
To have the crank done for me would cost $200 or so ( I have all the oil seals ready to go)and I'll pay it if I have to but I usually I like to do my own work.
Thanks,
Chris
