Here is my new project. GT750 with GS1100G tank and bumstop seat. GS1100 aluminum swingarm to be shortened to stock swingarm length. 17 inch rear wheel and Ohlin shocks. GS1150E front triples and tubes with 17 inch front wheel. 8 inch headight and stock guages that acutally bolt right up. So far.....?

I like it!
The GS tank looks good on there and the extra capacity will be a plus. I like the cut outs in the sides of the tank for the knees. It adds to the cafe look.
In the photos, it doesn't appear that the swingarm is too long. It does look as though the forks need to be pushed up into the triple clamp by about an inch or so.
I think it is a very cool project!
I think I have a front fender for those forks lying around the garage......

I weighed my 750 motor while I had it out for refinishing the frame. Threw the carbs on for the weight check. Exactly 160 lbs. Looks and feels a lot heavier, but my cheap bathroom scale said 160. I have to believe it is fairly accurate as I have checked my weight on other scales and this one agrees with it. A whopping 135 lbs!!

I should go through and measure what the major components weigh in the engine, starter, water, cylinders, cases, gears, etc... It would be interesting to me what made up that 160 pounds....
Does anyone know how much other engines weigh, like the H2, RD400, or a CB750?
