My GT550 needs a set of brake pads, I think suzuki still sell original pads, but i remember they where quite expensive.
Does anyone have any recommendations on what brand of pads to go for?

Re: Suzuki GT brake pads
Just about ANY aftermarket brand is better than the original pieces of
"wood" that Suzuki/Tokico supplied. Those Tokico caliper/pad combos were responsible for magazine road testers coining the term "wooden braking" (or "wooden't brake" as some would have it). You might notice this term being used in various road tests, both back in the day and nowadays.
This term has since been applied to brakes on other bikes of the 70's
......but Suzuki/Tokico were first.
