Where to find the cafe looking fuel tanks?

Where do i find the cafe looking gas tanks or are these all custom made? Iv got a stock 74 suzuki Gt380 and I like the look where it has the tank cut out for your knees.

There are a number of places selling tanks made from Fiberglass or aluminum for example:

Airtech is the only company I have used on this list but there are others in the UK making tanks Bartel, The Tank Shop, Mead Speed, to name but a few.

Most of the smashed in OEM steel tanks don't look very good and they tend to not fit the knees well either. The idea is to allow the rider's knees to be tucked in with a fatter long circuit tank. Dents for looks alone are a complete waste of time IM(not so)HO.

But it's all a personal preference.

one of the early smaller gs models had that style of tank. the cutouts aren't drastic but more subtle.
i've seen it on cafe bikes and it works really well. i'm too lazy to hunt down a pic but you can google it.

You can check out this company in the uk. I purchased the tank for my TR500 replica from him. He is a good guy and easy to deal with.

I don't think you are going to find an 'off the shelf' tank for your GT.
But isn't that half the point? To have something unique?

Here is the first pic of the tank Sean @ Roc City Cafe is making for my T500. It's not finished, but getting close.



The blue tank in the background is my stock tank. I sent it to Sean along with some pictures and measurements of the frame for reference when recreating the tunnel and forward tank mount.

There is also a firm in the UK called RGM or RGS that makes alloy tanks that are works of art.
We have used their stuff at our shop for a couple of Norton cafe projects the boss is building and they fit quite well and look the dog's. They are not cheap though, at about 500GBP each plus shipping. Their service is quite quick, however.
They MAY be willing to build a bespoke tank for your 380 if you contact them.
