You know who you are, Allen and Cliff.....

The Nov/Dec issue of Motorcycle Classics has a request from the editor for stories (and pics) about "classic" bikes (more than 25 years old) with more than 50,000 miles on them. They're going to be featuring some in an omnibus article as well as one a month thereafter....if I'm interpreting their plans correctly.
Obviously ALL the Triples and most of the twins will qualify, so......
Send your writeups and pics to rbackus(at)motorcycleclassics.com

Unfortunately, Indy has to go a lonnnggggg way further before qualifying on the mileage thing so I'm out of the running on this one.
Maybe I need to go riding more often.....

Heh, my second '69 T500 has 71,000+ miles on it, but I've stripped it down to the crank+case at the moment.
Oh, and I have never ridden it!

OK, Allen, you'd be one of the candidates, for sure.
Of course, they'll find it hard to believe ANYONE could have a Buffalo still on the road at that age with that many miles.....

If I'm not mistaken, Fred's friend Martin Krause in Germany has 300,000 km (about 186,411 miles) on his J model ..........
