first the good news. i'm the proud new owner of a 73 gt250.
the bad.the fuel system is the gummiest i've ever dealt with. it may be soaking for a week(or more).
i have a pair of overhauled carbs set aside from my 71 t250 while it's down for a rebore.
will the t carbs fit and function on the gt. i'm dying to see it run.

Should be no probs, Dennis......although the K models had the longer slides for intake noise reduction and, incidentally, less performance than the earlier models.....if my memory isn't wrongly thinking of only the L models having the longer slides. It'll be easy to tell because the difference is immediately noticeable between the two slides.
The jetting is the same as the earlier versions, at least back to the R models, so that should be okay. Mains are 110, pilots are 25, needle is 5CN3 with clip on the second notch, the needle jet should be O-2 and the slide cutaway is a 2.5.

According to Roy Bacon's Suzuki Two Stroke book, there is no difference in jetting from your T250 to your GT250. If memory serves, they are both equipped with bolt flange type carb bodies, so there should be no reason not to swap the carbs over for test firing. Take care, number one, and make it so. Cheers.

it's a keeper. my wife approves of the styling as well so i can't go wrong.
also, i'm trying for a 250 sweep.
i have a t10(baskets on a skid), a t250r and a gt250k now. i also have an x7 motor on a shelf waiting for a rolling carcass to come along. i've given up on owning a t20 or x6, but in lieu of that i felt it was only fair to have 2 s32-2s.
i am using the tank and carbs from the t250 on the gt, so it's not photo ready. i haven't even hosed it off as i had to pick it up down a gravel road in the rain.

That's quite an assortment you've got there, Dennis.
That T20 WILL show up eventually.....if you're patient.
It'll be interesting to see the pics of the GT250. We sold a fair number of the K's and L's back in the day.
