Nope. Someone just didn't feel like polishing all that aluminum - lol.

And to think we sold at least a half dozen orange ones like that back in the day because we couldn't get any more blue ones..... :roll:
And the blue was such a nice colour compared to the orange.....IMO... :D

Yep, that is a rare one with the "famous" spacer between the head and cylinder.. Did it run any better or put out more horsepower than the standard?

Yep .. just when you think you know a lot about the GT series bikes something odd like this shows up http://www.classicsuzuki.com/teknik/delad-topp/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; according to info it was made just for the home market in Japan but some did manage to get out into the world . I found mine on a engine in a frame in a bike junk yard here in Jax Florida . No telling how it got here but this is a Navy base town so maybe thats the answer . The heads are really stock looking on the cylinder side but like the article shows cast into 2 parts so no telling what the idea was behind it .
