Re: power dyno for T500
I haven't personally but I did speak a guy at a classic bike show who had one on his T500 . I got to know about it a couple of years ago was tempted to buy one till I decided to sell the ol girl.
anyway he said that the bike ran great and helluva improvement to lighting.

Re: power dyno for T500
I would hope there would be some improvement for the extra cost but lighting can be improved on a stock bike now days, stock tail light bulb chews up a lot of power so swap it for a led light bulb, the extra power will aid better front lighting and you can get that better again with a modern quartz bulb at 35/35 watts, they shine brighter and use less power.

Re: power dyno for T500
That's useful info, thanks ... put a new battery on mine & still amazed at the lack of amps for sparks & indicators when riding with lights on.

Re: power dyno for T500
swap your indicator relay for a digital, again use less power and will about double the flash speed. They do cost about double that of a non digital relay but for my money worth it.
Another thing always good to do, especially if the harness is old is unplug every single joint and clean the males with a bit of fine sand paper, pay extra attention to the main earth wires and the point where they attach to the frame. On some models the handle bars need to be earthed too, check to see that it is and makes good contact.
Also squirt some contact cleaner into the females or maybe find a specialist tiny wire brush to get down into them to hone them out clean.
If you spend a few hours doing this once a year you will avoid almost all wiring problems, component failure aside.
Love your bike and it will love you back

Re: power dyno for T500
any auto accessory shop in the UK should carry digital indicator relays.

Re: power dyno for T500
Sadly my humble desk-tied existence doesn't give me much free time for real shopping....
I tend to do it online. Plenty of accessory dealers prepared to help me though.
Quick question - digi relays seem to be advertised towards those who have installed led bulbs & then find the frequency falls outside the legal limits - is there a specific type of digi relay I should be looking at?
Thanks

Re: power dyno for T500
not as far as I am aware, I just buy them from Supercheap or Autobarn here and they market mainly to car owners. They have worked great for me with standard bulbs. Indicators draw very little power so no real point going led with those although they might? stand up better to jarring.
Led tail/brake lights I got off ebay, Asia seller, I got 2 for about $12.00 delivered to Australia.

yes better check on that Digger. It can't be a problem here as you can buy the digital relays in bike shops.
