halp, pu-leeze

Post by schooter »

ok, so i got my bike pretty well together, took it for a spin last night, powerband felt great, would idle all day long, then took it out this morning, and it was a dog, turns out the right cyl wasnt running, the pipe was cold, im in class now and just wondering what to look at, me thinks it's either a fouled plug or the carbs... just wondering if there is anything i should look for.

and i think i may have over filled my crank case, because our house is on a hill and its hard to find a level spot

Make sure the battery is fully charged and put a NEW plug in the right cylinder. I'd do electrical things like checking the points and condesor befoe messin with those miserable carbs. Ride to a level spot, put bike on center stand and remove the oil level screw located on the right clutch cover just below the kick start pivot. If it is over filled, the excess will run out that hole. When it stops, the level is perfect.
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.
