4LS work with later gauge?

Post by odbuffalo »

Hey guys, I have a 4LS front end Im going to put on my 74. Will the 74 GT750 speedo work with the Drum or do I need the speed gauge from the drum bike also?

Thanks

If it is any help, I am running an old set of gauges off a drum brake GT380 on my disc brake GT550 and the speedo is right on accurate.

The gear ratio on the two speedo drives are the same, so no problem using the later gauge. You will have to use the drum brake cable, for it is specific to that wheel, and will adapt to the later speedo. Should look cool, and work well. Cheers.
