I have a 74 GT750 with a nasty dent on the front corner. Im just curious if other tanks will fit and what my options are. Will a GT380, 500 550 tank fit?

Yes and no - might fit the mountings, but they didn't have radiators fill caps to worry about eh ? You can use a tank from a 1975 GT750 for certain, and likely a 1973 also. The 1973 used a different pet cock so you'd have to swap with your current one.

You could use any GT750 tank from 74-77, BUT the gascap is different from 76-77. 74 and 75 are identical (except for the emblems....).

I found a 72 complete bike and the tank is pretty nice.

The '72 had a metal flap cover for the radiator fill cap, rather than the plastic one used on '73 through '75, the cap is different, as are the badges and petcock.

When you said 'interchangeable' you didn't clarify the 'with what' part That tank (44110-15620) fits 1968 through 1975 T500 Cobras and Titans

One more question, are the petcocks interchangeable?
Same bolt set-up, just swap them?

Im not going for restoration correct.

Gt 750 tanks

The 72 tanks are specific with its own style of radiator door and hinging system, the tank badges are red filled lettering and have pins with clips.
The 73 tanks use a different rad door and latching system than the 72 version with the same tank badges as the 72 model.
The 74 to 75 tanks, the same overall tank design is shared between these two models but the emblems were different on the two years.
The 76 and 77 tanks, a new angular shape over the previous years with a full flush hinged lid and hidden fuel cap. The tank badges on these two years are the same but screwed on.
If you wish to change to another tank year you must use the fittings related to that tank for that year.
All GT750 petcocks will bolt up to all the tanks above, but 72 and 73 have a triple outlet type for the three VM carbs while 74 to 77 have a single outlet and spacer block for the single inlet BS model carbs.

As for T500 tanks,
The 68 cobra tank is specific to that model, and its related side panels and rubber pad parts only fit that tank.
The 69 tank used the first of the general tank shape as up to the 75 models but it used the oval wing emblem.
The 70 tank used the same oval wing badge but a rack was fitted to the top of the tank with a pad under it and so four collared nuts were welded to the tanks top.
The 71 to 75 tanks were the same shape since the holes for the "Suzuki" badges did not change, but the badges had a few alterations in colour and outline done to them during this time
The 76 and 77 tanks are basically a 76 and 77 Buffalo tank with a old style flip up fuel filler lid fitted and a small cover was used to hide the radiator filler opening.
The Cobra and T500 tanks up to 75 used a threaded filler nut to hold the petcock to the tank and from what I remember the 76 and 77 GT500 used the flange plate designed petcock.
The tanks could be swapped between all the years of Titan but again you have to use the specific parts related to each tanks design to complete the alteration.
