76-77 GT380 did they have the boost transfer ports?

Post by Vintageman »

I read somewhere starting in 1976 the GT380 had the extra boost tranfer ports added to the cylinder. Is this true?

I don't think so for the US, the B model I had didn't have any.

I'd heard about this too, but it never came to the 380s, they retained the basic 4-port layout.

The GT250A/B/C models got 4 transfers and two small supplementary exhaust ports.

It would have been interesting to see what would have happened with the 380 if it had been developed in the same way ...
