Anybody have bolt sizes for these bikes?

I'm looking for a listing of bolt sizes for the bolts on my GT380. I'm missing a few and would like to order them, but don't know what thread, diameter, and such.

Specifically the pair of headlamp bolts and the two bolts (large and small) that hold the right pilot's foot peg on. I'm sure I'll want to eventually get more, as many on the bike are rusted.

I have replaced many of the bolts on the case and engine with Allen head bolts via SS kits from eBay.

These are the standard sizings on most of the bolts found on your bike.
The 6mm ones had a 1.00 pitch threading
The 8mm ones had a 1.25 pitch threading
The 10mm ones had a 1.50 pitch threading
There are a few finer pitch bolts outside of these standards.
To measure the length, use a mm scale tape and measure it from under the head to the tip of the bolt.

6mm? Heck, I didn't know there were any that small on the bike. The smallest I've seen are the 8mm that hold on the gauges to the triple.

I also need to know the pitch for the 12 and 17mm variants. Any idea?

Dont confuse the socket head size with the actual bolt shaft sizing, these are the usual standards.
The 6mm use a 10mm socket, the 8mm use a 12mm, the 10mm a 14mm, and a 12mm a 17mm.
Engine screws are 6mm, as are the seat hinge nuts, the rear lamp bracket bolts and nuts etc.

That depends on where it is located on the bike, some are 1.50 some are 1.25

I bought several from my local fastener supply house and I usually keep one in my pocket for wandering the swap meet at Mid-Ohio along with an inexpensive vernier caliper and a metric tape measure. Very useful stuff!

As for determining bolt sizes, as Allan mentioned you are concerned with the diameter of the bolt shaft (the threaded bit) not the head of the bolt for determining size. If you look at the on-line parts book for the 380:

you'll see bolts with part numbers like:

01122-08358

the last five digits tell you it's an 8mm bolt that's 35mm long (0835). Not sure what the last 8 stands for. Typically, Suzuki uses standard or coarse pitch bolts most of the time but you have to check. As for replacing all the bolts, make sure you are using a similar strength bolt as the one you are replacing.

offers a good selection of metric bolts and you can order by strength and finish but you usually have to order more than one bolt at a time. So it may be worth your while to look at having the existing bolts replated or ordering replacement bolts for some stuff (foot pegs) from an on-line part dealer like
