1974 GT750 Water Pump

Post by water cooled »

I am in immediate need of a replacement pump assy for a 1974 GT750 L. Smokey Allen, do you have any pumps I could swap with you for a rebuild.

I have the impeller....its the pump seal that cracked.

Kevin,
Have you got a rebuild kit for the pump? They are available with both O rings plus the top seal plus a teflon seal to replace the grafite seal.

I didn't know a kit like that was available. I thought the graphite seal was not replaceable or repairable...

There are likely several places you can get these, but the one I recommend is Reiner Schneider (GTReiner1@aol.com) in Germany - ask for part number 17010-31099-000-Z. This includes 30 pieces and costs just over €21 plus shipping if you live outside the Euro zone (so about $27 in USD). He has lots of NOS GT750, T/GT500 items. 8) 8)
