Quite some time back I spoke of a problem with my gt 250, it was missing on the left cylinder under load. Did all the usual stuff like checking battery , charging, coil etc. Finally pulled the left carb last night and found the mainjet had totally unscrewed itself and was lying on top of its hole sideways. Screwed it back in and problem is solved. Never had this happen before is this something new or does it occassionally happen?

Glad you got it sorted. I had that happen only twice. Probably my fault in being in a hurry to trying to do too many things at once. Didn't get the jet tight enough.

That's an unusual one ... good you found the problem!
As the old saying puts it: "90% of all ignition problems are found in the carburation"

It has happened to me a couple of times and I have had other people's bikes to fix that arrived with that problem.
It happens.

My RMX250 and my TS400 both did that. It's really a problem on a single cylinder bike!
