Plug caps???

Post by Odin »

what plug caps should I be using with a B7HS plug?
its a T200, I asked about coils and thought I would first replace the wires and caps to see if that works, other wise I will replace the coils.

right now the caps are marked with LD05FP

thanks.

Isn't that the NGK 5K ohm resistance cap?

Good idea to try new leads and caps first.

I don't know, thats why I'm asking, I was trying to figure out what all the letters stand for.

L =shape 90 degree's
D =is the plug it fits (so the D fit's C/D type plugs, if it was B then it would fit plugs that start with B, I think)
05 =5K resistor
F
FP
EP these letter's I don't know what they mean and what is the difference between them.
I don't even know if my interpretation of the other letters are right.

Thank-you so much, I was right about most of it and now it makes sense knowing the rest. but just to clarify the "F" would mean I need to screw that little cap on the spark plug off, right?

Never mind just figured it out.

thanks again.

Correct - best price I've seen for these (here in Canada) was at CTC, but the stock carried varies a lot from store to store. Happy hunting ! 8)

Stay away from the resistor caps if Possible.I've had nothing but trouble out of them.They left me stranded several times when I rode dirt bikes.
Hang me from the Tree of Shame.Damn! I forgot the Rope.
