After Market coils.

Post by Odin »

So after checking everything and replacing every carb part over the last few years I finally figured out I need to replace my coils, any one have experience with some of the "value" brand coils? and which ones will work on my T200? cost is key here, I'm hurting for funds at the moment, and I would like to stay away from NOS coils 40 year old electronics just don't cut it any more.

thanks.

Actually Keith the T500 coils are still available as NEW items, did you consult your local dealer first to see if they are in the Canadian system?????

Apparently they should, the bikes are points condenser types and the only issue might be the harness socket and coil mount.
Whats the part number for the T200 coils???

This guy here quite often has interesting NOS bits and pieces. He does have a set of T20 coils, which I believe are no longer available new from Suzuki, although I would have thought T500 (not GT500) coils would also have worked.

Prices are in British Pounds.

Thanks guy's, I will check the price of the T500 coils from the local dealer.

I've ordered parts from Simon before and never had an issue, this time I want "new" parts not NOS, I would just feel better know my coils aren't 40 years old.

if you want good coils and are not concerned about originality, check what resistance they are and get a pair from Mikes XS.
