Engine Case Transfer Port casting marks?

I noticed on the bottom of my GT500 transfer ports that there is a semi round 2-3mm deep rough indentation at the bottom of the transfer port in the engine case. Is this on every GT/T500 engine case? It almost looks like it would have been a rough part of the engine casting process left over during the manufactiring process. I was thinking it might make sense to either fill it with epoxy or maybe just smooth it out with emery cloth to ensure smooth air flow. Just curious if anyone else has seen this type of thing on their engine case.

The GT750 lower cases also have that .

Yeah, it could be filled with epoxy, but I've always been afraid it would come loose and get spit out, so I've just lived with it.

I filled it with epoxi after some rough Dremel touchs , never came loose...until now, crossing fingers.
Anyway, I own a GT380 crankcase, K model, where the fusion holes were already filled by Suzuki himself, strange red stuff , it seems like Avionite or something like I heard during my model airplane days.
