1971 T500 Rebuild questions

Post by MontaraMarc »

I'm rebuilding a '71 T500 a bike I've wanted since I was 15 years old. I desperately need diagrams showing where everything goes together. I'm especially interested in the wiring, and the area around the battery where the SCR, Flasher, tool kit etc... fit in.
I'm also working to upgrade the ignition to a new style electronic ignition.

The bike was literally in pieces when I bought it a few months ago, and it's slowly coming together nicely. (re-did the seat, new paint job for tanks and side cover, repainted the frame, new signal lights, etc..
Anything that can be sent would be greatly appreciated.

Suzuki manual are here: https://www.oldjapanesebikes.com/mraxl ... /index.php
I prefer printed versions. Originals & new reprints are usually available via eBay.

Suzuki tech bulletins are here: http://www.ozebook.com/compendium/techbuls/index.htm

Suzuki service manual is pretty lame. You may find it useful to get a Clymer or other service manual. Usually available via eBay.
BAS (Bike Acquisition Syndrome) - too many bikes but have room for more
