GT185 slow churning electric start and charge light question

Guys I’m looking at a GT185. It’s a lovely thing but the electric start sounds like a cement mixer, it’s on a new battery but very slow turning over and firing.
Also the charge light in the tacho remains on at tickover revs, goes out at about 2k revs.
Any thoughts or advice? If it’s not right I want to adjust my offer price accordingly

Unless the seller is willing to help, personally I'd be looking elsewhere.

My GT185 charge light is on at idle, goes out with rpm. I would be concerned with noise while cranking, generator parts can get expensive if you need to change parts. The GT185 uses the generator as the starter.
