Suzuki Stinger Rear Shock Absorbers

Hello,

Just wondered if anyone has ever dismantled a set of Mk1 T125 Stinger shock absorbers for refurbishment - the ones fitted with shrouds? I have a set on my bike and they need attention.

Compressing the spring (from the top downwards) reveals some sort of steel cover under the spring/shrouds that meets up with the top alloy 'eye'. I'm guessing that this unscrews from the alloy eye, but mine won't shift, even after the application of heat and moderate gripping/twisting.

I'm loath the attack the things with extreme prejudice, so does anybody have any suggestions or ideas?

Thanks guys.

Ring Hagons and see what they make new.
Better than trying to refurb 50 year old shocks and trying to catch a flying shock spring with tour teeth.

Also check Aliexpress where they probably have a seller with the right size.
