Should I delete my oil injection pump or should Ifix it?

I recently rebuilt a basket case gt250, and I am having trouble adjusting the throttle cable as it seems almost as if it is stretched or too long where it goes into the oil pump, even with the adjuster maxed out. I am considering deleting the CCI system and just running 2 stroke premix in the tank, just to make thinks simpler, but I worry about damaging the engine in some way, as I know on some old 2 strokes it is bad to delete the system, but am not sure if that is the case with these Suzuki twins.

Should I delete the oil injection system or leave it as is?

The pump supplies oil to two of the crank main bearings. If you delete the oil pump without modifying the crank, then those two bearings will not have a supply of oil. And it will end up rather badly.

Did you get a new throttle cable? You might have the wrong cable.

If its close, then it might work if you use the cable adjuster at the throttle combined with less adjuster at the carbs.

It is the original throttle cable, it just seems like maybe it is stretched, although I have not look into it much.
