Meanwhile, I have found a NOS tank, unused in the original Suzuki box! It hurt my wallet a bit, but I could not resist it. In the mail as I write this.
It like waiting for Xmas!

Will be painted red, like the one in the picture.

Found a company in UK that fixes tanks, so my old tank will go there for a fix up. Eventually. No rush now.

Bear in mind that the true colour isn't 'simple' bright red. It's more a burnt orange/red pearl. I've seen a few which have been professionally painted yet they've used the wrong colour.

It will get the same red as the one in the picture. I don’t mind if it’s not 100% correct. It is a very nice red, and close enough.

The blue tank is now on the bike. Fresh fuel. Startet quite easy, but idle on the #2 is not 100%. It pops and the rpm is not steady. When I drive it runs OK, but jerks a bit when I use the engine to slow down.
I have the bike in winter storage with a guy who owns several GT models from 100/125 cc and up to a 750 cc. He suggests my idle jet is not 100% clean. I agree that may be the issue, so will pull that carb and check it next season.
My NOS tank has arrived and will be painted red. Just waiting for a stripe set from UK.
