Good morning all -
Can I please ask if anybody knows whether a pair of Mitaka piston kits 2.0mm oversize, and marked on the box as for a GT250X7 would be suitable for use in a GT250M requiring a rebore?
I've got a spare pair of 250M barrels on 1.0mm OS bore, but due to the condition, it looks like a rebore will be required if they are to be used in future times.
Many thanks.

Re: GT250M oversize pistons
should be no problem, i've used x7, rg250 pistons, alsorts. as long as somebody hasn't put an earlier crank in with 16mm gudge pins [not unknown] you'll be ok. nock pins and ring gaps will be ok and of course the engine will now be a 266cc
cheers, dd.

Re: GT250M oversize pistons
i have bored gt250 barrels out to 58mm, so 56mm overbore is no problem
i put +2mm ts125 [58mm] pistons in it and made a gt285

Re: GT250M oversize pistons
Hi DD
In my Haynes it highlights different ring peg positions for later (A,B,C) motor and I think X7 is the same - are the TS125 pistons same as these in that respect?
Cheers
