Suzuki 2 Strokes

Hi Guys
Can anyone shed any light or offer advice on my Gt 750J - it goes well on acceleration but is not so smooth when i roll off the throttle especially at slow speeds and lower gears - in fact it’s difficult to blip the throttle making it uncomfortable to ride in town . i have read it could be pilot jet size issues? The carbs have been recently cleaned, and the bike has had new points and ignition timing done . Rubbers to the inlets are relatively new with no obvious air leaks
- I don’t always remember it being like this - it seems to have crept in this year

If your tickover is high, it will surge, although the separate carbs aren't anywhere near as bad as the linked CV ones.
Were jets replaced when you did the carbs? Replacement non Mikuni ones are noted for not being as accurately made as OEM. It might be an idea to replace the new jets with the originals. I use inline fuel filters on all my bikes 'just in case' there's anything floating about in the tank too.
If the throttle doesn't respond well from low revs, check that the carbs are synchronised and open/lift together, and the timing is accurately set - both gaps and against the marks. Check mixtures as well in case the float levels are slightly out.

Thanks for the reply - i think i have checked all the recommendations but will turn down the rpm at tickover to see if this helps - i have fuel filters on two of the fuel lines as i took the one feeding the right hand carb off as i suspected i was getting fuel starvation on this side due to the difficulty in maintaining a free fall from fuel tap to the carb when i introduced the filter .

Check the throttle slides are synchronised correctly or it will run rough on the over run.

Unless you have a filter with restriction, you shouldn't have fuel starvation, I have filters on each carb of my 550K and 750K with no starvation issue.
Makes me think you still have a carb or fuel tap issue.
