GT550 Early and Late Air inlet Hose

Post by Vintageman »

Will the later (LMAB) rubber air inlet hose from the three carbs to air box fit the earlier model GT550 (JK)? I know there are subtle differences, but it looks like partzilla showing same for both, but part NLA so maybe mistake. Vintage part# are different as there are some difference.

If the later one bolts up to earlier airbox and the three individual carbs with proper spacing in all dimensions that would be nice to know.

Thanks

Hi
I have a 550J and the answer is no. The LMAB has a smaller diameter end to fit gang carbs and is of a different shape.
I know this because i had both types.

+1

My official Suzuki printed parts manual for the J model has the air inlet hose part # 13880-34000.

OldJapaneseBikes.com has the J-L parts manual. J & K models have the same part number.
L model part # is 13880-34101.

The online parts manuals are a really valuable resource, but they have a small number errors.
