GT250A matser cylinder..

Post by daxman »

Trying to get it to work with this type of rebuild kit..
Image
It doesn't look the same as the old bits and I'm not even sure i have the spring and second seal the right way around. Anyhow
it's not working so I ended up cleaning up the old bits.. for the moment at least. I guess I may need to spend more than 20 quid..
Thoughts?

Hi!

For positioning of the parts you can look here.

In the picture below original and a replica can be seen side by side. I got the replica as suitable for the GT250 / 380 and was very skeptical because of the slightly different piston. But then I have it built in anyway and it works fine.

Thanks - now refitted all the old parts (after extensive cleaning and a slight hone of the bore) in the right order and it works fine again! Looks like the dust seal is the only part I will use form that kit1
