T500 queries
Anybody know why front of the seat is a funny shape? it touches the take before the slots have reached the bolts. Also every time I tighten the choke plunger bolt the choke is very stiff to operate ,I remember had this trouble on a yds7 as well but can't remember how I fixed it?

Re: T500 queries
they all touche's the tank.
put some pvc tape around the front mount(not the seat).
do it bit by bit till your happy but make sure it still can be fastened at the rear.
buy some clear sheet and cut to shape of the front end of the seat.
stick this on neatly to your tank.
take the choke lever rod out straighten it.
before you put it back on lift the spring tab up a little (I mean little),this will keep the choke lever down.
see pics.
put your rod back in with choke lever up ,don't force the rod in further.
once the rod is through just nip it up there.
the spring is at the bottom of the pics

Re: T500 queries
an acknowledgement and a thank you wouldn't go amiss.
if folks dont do the above how can anyone expect to be given advice.
I for one will not.
to me this is just ignorance.

Re: T500 queries
Sorry been fixing my yam and been on there forum ,forgot about this question, no it's not the rod it happened on the yds7 also ,,that doesn't have a rod i think it maybe was the small bent forks that pull the plunger ,they looked straighter than my latest yamaha carbs im working on. Sorry for not thanking you.
