Suzuki 2 Strokes

Can anyone recommend how to get a small dent out of the silencer of my Gt 750
The dent is under the rightfootpeg and is about the size of a small apple

i have tried using tank dent puller but without success as the glue doesnt adhere to thechrome

Block both ends, air tight, Apply some air pressure. Heat dent.... It may discolor pipe if you over do it or chrome poor.

You may want to talk to an experienced paintless dent removal (PDR) specialist. They have worked wonders on a couple of fuel tanks I had them do and they have all the speciality equipment. I don’t know if they can do things on exhaust pipes but worth a call.

isn't there a post on here somewhere about this? trouble is i'm on that many forums, i forget where i've read something anyway, somewhere this lad had a similar problem. he filled his exhaust with water, blocked the ends off and left it outside overnight. when the water froze it pushed the dent out. not much good in england atm as it's not freezing at night, but it's just one idea it's called something like ice dent removal.

In his case, it got down to 11 degrees F for it to work and it must be monitored.

Cheers DD. A pity he didn't show before and after pics. The after pics looked good.

Thanks for the advice - ive taken the silencer off and cleaned it all down but have decidec to leave the dent as a winter problem so that i can ride during the summer : one piece of advice i was given was to cut the back out of the silencer and push the dent out from the hole in the back before welding
Back the plate cut out


Will have the summer to think about it
