A friend on Facebook has just posted a photo of a new offering from HorsepowerIgnition (HPI). A combined electronic ign. and charging coil set-up for the GT750, looks to be well made.
That's a neat looking ignition that presumably all fits under the alternator side cover - or does it fit in the points housing? Do you know what sort of wattage it generates?
This latest HPI offering was posted on Facebook by Cor Geraets, a very competent engineer who likes to build TR750 replicas. I perused the HPI web site but did not spot it listed (too new maybe). I will contact Cor and see if he can provide any details.
"it is a new product I am HPI dealers Also the TR's ignitions HPI first builds I was involved in So I am at the source of this HPI ignitions This product is just new Details will follow Greetings Cor"
Cor hails from Belgium , but if I interpret the above he maybe has a pre-production product as he is an HPI agent and is helping to test this new HPI GT750 system. I believe this new system will have a self-generating Ign. as seen in their race ign's and a separate charging side. A nice 250W would be good
I'll keep you posted as and when there is further info.
