Opinion from Buffalo experts please

Hi Guys,
I am thinking of putting a bid in on this girl - 73 GT750.

Could you have a look at the link and tell me what you think of her i.e. does it look original and correct (ignore the price, that's just the silly cost of old bikes down here).
Does it look like anything needs to be done to return her to original?Owner says she runs well, no problems with the clutch or cooling system and paint plus pipes reported to be very good.

From the pic it looks like the front calipers have been replaced with the 74 and later all rubber hose models, but i cant really see it clearly.
The carbs have the 72 model flat tops with the shorter slides but they might be original since who really knows what certain markets got back in those days.
Id say its all there and at least 90% correct from the few pics posted, sooo whats the situation with the price since were not supposed to be paying attention to the figures there.

Allan may be correct about the brake lines, but I can't really tell either. Other than that possibility, I also agree that it's a true 73, which appears to be in excellent condition.

Thanks for the comments guys. She looked quite nice to me but I don't know too much about the 750s - known as the Waterbus here
Allan, I just meant that guys overseas seem to be surprised when they see the asking prices down here. We don't get good bikes going for 2-3k as in the States perhaps. This particular one has been on the site for about three weeks with no movement. Originally, she was on for $7500 but dropped to the current price about a week ago.
I'm trying to convince the wife to buy it for me as a 50th birthday present

I can't tell for certain from the photo, but the master cylinder assembly looks like its from a later model, which could correspond with Allen's comment about the brake lines. The radiator end covers are chrome which I believe is correct for the model year, but if you really want to be anal, then the side covers on both sides have the wrong screws.
It is a very nice looking example though, so if it runs well then it could be a real find.

Mike its all in the market pricing, thankfully the US market hasnt gouged the prices of the Buffalos yet like they have the Kawi triple stuff, so for now you can still get old Suzi parts and parts bikes for a decent figure.
I'm sure in your part of the world its an average price for a bike in that condition, if not it would never sell, its always in the economies of supply and demand.
I wish the pictures were clearer and had better views so we could see the bike on both sides closer. To answer a question,,,yes the chrome rad end covers are correct for a 73 and if its got on the correct front brakes they would have a short length of metal piping from the caliper to the clamp by the fender brace then its hose from there up to the joint by the lower tree,
The master cylinder for 73 Buffalo was specific too, it was all aluminum construction and the top cap had an S in the centre of it.

Contacted the owner who said the carbs are the original ones that came with the bike as far as he knows (he's owned it for 18 years). He said that the front brake hoses were replaced with after market hoses about two years ago.
I'm impressed with the attention to detail that you guys have .. and can pick up from a photo
