Anyone know what size this screw is ?

It is Item 41 here part# 02111-03068 it is a small short round head screw.. not sure of thread pitch and length ...obsolete. If I new size I should be able to find it?
The screw->

It screws into the switch shafts shown here (second Pic)

If you look here you can see the screw head underneath holding in the black nob. Yes if I buy this the screw will only cost me $110.00 but I get two

I have been looking for other used controls on ebay to get used screw but no luck yet.

They should be JIS M3 - 6mm long.

The simple parts number decoding works most of the time, but not always.

Thanks
Tell me what this means please-> "The simple parts number decoding works most of the time, but not always."

Also, There is a screw (I think) that holds the trip meter knob, but no part# shown for it separately by Suz. My knob pulls off shaft. I can use needle nose to reach in and extend shaft and I can wind the trip meter down or up (. Need better light and eyes to see inside, but must be a screw there! Any ideas?

I think I'll look for an assortment kit of m1.x thru m3. The short length is a challenge on this switch knob... else I just buy what I need.

Thanks again !!!!!!!!

For fasteners # AAAAA-BBCCD:

The AAAAA tells you what type of part it is.
The AAAAA & D combo tells you more about what type of part it is: chromed round head screw, zinc round head screw, zinc bolt, zinc nut, & etc
Suzuki changed numbering over the years. So more than one number may refer to the same type of part.

The round head screws are JIS, which differs from Phillips and has a slightly smaller head than SAE.
BB is usually the thread diameter.
CC is usually the bolt length.

When Suzuki supersedes bolts, the AAAAA &/or the D changes.
Sometimes the superseding bolt may have a slightly different length. For example CC=27 could be replaced with CC=25

The motor mounting bolts are a good example where this numbering isn’t used. Those bolts are over 99mm long so the above method can’t be used.

if i remember correctly :D the trip knob screw is m2.5 and i think 5mm long. you're very lucky to have got it out, because 99% of the time the cross in them is rounded off because they usually seize in with rust. a normal crosshead m2.5 won't fit unless you file the head [they are too wide], so as jab says use jis if you can find any. good luck.
cheers, dd.
