How far carbs into manifold?

How far carbs into manifold?

My t500 is the type with just the rubber manifold ,the carbs hardly seem to go in ,only about 10mm is that all they should ? Or aren't i shoving them hard enough? Cheers

No mines the other type i hadn't shoved them in enough last time, theyve gone fully home now ,Rib in manifold into groove on carb ,manifolds were upside down also so cut out wasn't where tap suction pipe goes . I thought the airfilter trunking went on carbs a bit to far!
