T350: Wrist pin question

Post by GT500-2stroke »

Trying to put together T350 piston with new piston rings.
When I acquired the bike, it came with disassemble heads, cylinders and pistons.

I have put on new rings on pistons and need to assemble cylinders, heads, tank, seat so on..

I do not have access to any speciality tools that may be needed in this work.

I am struggling to put the wrist pin inside piston while holding the piston aligned with crank shaft.
Wrist pin is not loose enough to slide it in using just hands.
I have to use hammer to make it go inside piston.
Is this normal amount to tightness between piston and wrist pin?
How tight should wrist pin be? i.e., loose enough just slide with fingers? or tight so that it needs to be hammered in?

What is best way to install piston, wrist pin on crank in my situation?

Thanks.
