Hi, it squirts oil into the air/fuel mixture and lubricates cylinder walls and piston crown.

Ah thanks- more or less what I guessed. So a good idea to check for blockages on my replacement cylinder!

hi dax, you can actually remove these if necessary :D the barrels i had didn't have any, so i pinched some off another totally knackered set. turn the barrel upside down and drift them inwards - into the inlet port. they are actually slightly wider at the bottom than the top, so you can't put them in upside down :D
cheers, dd.

Always check that they are clear - especially if you flattened the end over with a pin punch. They are designed to feed oil into the center of the air flow for better dispersion, but at low throttle positions there isn't a lot of flow up there anyway.

We take them out when porting a cylinder and don't put them back. The oil still finds its way into the cylinder.

hi tz, yes, forgot to mention that. i put a 2mm drill through them after tapping them in - just in case :D one thing on the gt250a is the feed goes to one side of the bridge for some reason. on the ramairs it's central. wonder why?
cheers, dd.
