GT250C sidepanel

Post by daxman »

My bodged-up 'survivor' GT250A will have parts from various sources (GSX250 rear mudguards etc..) so originality is no longer critical although I would still like it to look OK-ish
Trying to match paint for side panels will be tricky so I thought the GT250C look with black panels could be the the best budget option. But were these raw plastics or painted? If the latter then I guess satin black could be OK. Thoughts?

I had some of the later generic black sidepanels on my 380, they are unpainted but the outer side (with the badges etc) are a shiny finish.
1976 GT380 - wounded by me, and sold on
2006 SV650S - killed by a patch of diesel and a kerb in Feb 2019
2017 SV650 AL7 - naked and unashamed

Thanks - sound's like satin black might work. BUT I'm getting well ahead of myself. Many more mechanical challenges to overcome yet.
