Fuel tap options

I'm just about to get another fuel tank for the GT250. This one is from an earlier model with the threaded 'spigot' arrangement. Is there a pattern tap that will fit? I'm not fussed about Vacuum operation but don't fancy paying 90 quid for a secondhand OEM one!

Recently happened across a petcock description on the Z1Enterprises website. https://www.z1enterprises.com/petcock-z ... minum.html
“After 3 years of waiting, we FINALLY have the quality Z1 replica petcocks in stock. Most of those on the market have serious issues. These have been reengineered to solve the problems the other petcocks suffer - little things like leaking, being too stiff to turn the lever (or breaking it attempting to turn), not flowing enough fuel…”

So its likely that there are some junk Chinese petcocks out there that are problematic.

The petcock on the Z1Enterprises site has the word “fuel” under the lever.

Not sure, but I think the lesser quality ones don’t have the word “fuel” on them.

It should be noted, however, that I don’t know if the website claims about problems is true or not.
