Dumb brake question

Post by Craig380 »

I need to strip and clean the caliper on my 380.

Am I right in thinking that, when I've pumped the piston out using brake pressure, if I tie the brake lever back to the twistgrip it will stop all the brake fluid draining out of the master cylinder?

If so, this should make it much easier to bleed the system up again ...

No, you're incorrect. The fluid is coming out, although you may prevent the master cylinder from needing to be primed. Sorry.

If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.

Too many bikes, too much time, ENOUGH SPACE, FINALLY! Never enough money.........

Theres no big deal, just apply a syringe with a hose to the caliper bleeder and suck the new brake fluid down while pumping on the brake lever during the refill of new fluid.
Two strokes, its just that simple.
