Post by Dave Robbo »

Getting to no my bike better thanks to you guys. Question the silver air filter housing either side has a small pin hole in it what is this for ? and should the holes face up or down? When i got the bike they faced up but i guy i no who has a 380 said they are breathers and should face down so i swapped sides with them. Thanks in advance for any answers.

Dave just checked a box i have in my parts bin. Holes go to the bottom.
I have no idea what they are for i suspect some kind of drain for moisture.
Certainly not too important and TBH i had no idea they were there!

Thanks for the reply. I've checked all the pictures i can find of 550 GTs and the silver screw with the flat head that fastens the housings together is always on the left hand side as you sit on the bike. So that means the pin holes point down.
