UK crank rebuild GT250L

Morning all, took the little stinkwheel for a run yesterday.

Great weather but day out turned not so good when it would appear that a mainbearing decided to get a bit shouty.

Performance only slightly down, but a lot of noise from the bottom end. Anyway made it home but need recommendations for a reasonably priced crank rebuilder near Stafford.

The 750 is now running and riding great just hurts the pocket when out for a spirited run !

Cheers Terry

The names that get mentioned the most for crank rebuilds are:

Chris Applebee (Essex) http://www.applebee.co.uk/contact.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Pete O'Dell (Peterborough) http://www.themotorcycleworks.co.uk/ind ... ontact-us/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

SEP (Kegworth) http://www.sep-kegworth.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

PJME (Wolverhampton) https://www.pjme.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I've not used any of them but I'm sure others will weight in with their experiences.

Cheers for that Craig, gone with Applebees, PJME wouldn't quote as "they couldn't get rods" they would have been ideal as they are just down the road.

You on the SV . org site too?

Cheers Terry
