Hello
I'm putting the carbs together on my 71 T250r and I assume the solid pin which attaches to the carburettor slide with the throttle cable is purely for the tick over it fits through the centre of a threaded nut and has a split pin in the top.

Any advice would be greatly received

Paul

So far as I can see, the answer is Yes. It alters the height of the throttle stop rod. Why they designed it so bizarrely is beyond me though. Later models had different carbs with a conventional screw in the side to adjust the idle speed/throttle stop.

Yes, that rod is for the idle, it is not as easy to adjust as the side screws. Use caution putting the slides in, those rods bend easily, and hold the rpm high
