Another name that GT750A mystery part- pin
Was changing out covers on my GT750A this weekend. Going from some dingy ones to some nicely polished covers I have. While changing the left upper cover (ignition and starter gear), I noticed this small pin magnetically attached to the Accent ignition piece that goes over the crank taper and up against the cylinder timing propeller piece. Not sure exactly where it came from? Could it be from beneath the cover for the pin (is it large enough?) that drives the water pump shaft assembly? Or is it from m the Accent iggy system? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Look at GT750 parts list under "breaker points". It shows a pin about that size which drives the points cam or propeller. It's number 16 on the parts diagram. Difficult to tell in the picture.
If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.

That was it Lane! Must have stuck to that piece during the case cover change over I just made. Good to ID it and not to dwell of where else it could ge from? Thanks!
