Nice! I like this kind of mod that cleans up the bike and simplifies service work.
Do you have a supplier in the US?

Easy enough, order the rear axle nut and the tool kit box wrench (27mm) for the 1993 Honda CBR900RR. Both items should cost you under $20.00

To answer a question Evans Ward posed, cut the rear axle through the split pin holes then grind the end flush so the hole remnants just disappear. Also grind a slight taper around the edge so the threads are not sharp.

Cool mod. Do you know if the thread is the same on the gt380?

I believe the 380 axle is a smaller diameter.

Ah I see. I shall have to do some homework to find out what smaller modern bike shares the same thread as the GT380.

Possibly one from an Early CBR600, you need to look around for the fujilock flange nut that will fit. Have a look at Kawasaki as well.

The GT550 & GT380 both use real axle nut with part # 09141-16001.

Here is the Honda part number for the nut.

90305-MB4-003

This mod does make it easier to pull the rear wheel assy. Nice!
Thanks Allan
