Does anyone know what, if any, other model of suzuki shift shaft would work on a t500? It's a 1974 model.
Mine is a little bit bent AND the splines are barely there.
I see a few gt750 shafts, but they only have splines on the left side.
Honestly, so long as the distance between the shifter splines and the shifter teeth is the same, and the diameter is the same, I could make it work.
If I can get an answer I would be very grateful.
I'm currently assembling this bike from a large pile of parts, delivered completely torn apart, and with lots of pieces missing. Any help goes a long way.
T500 Shift shaft, interchangeable?

Get the correct one, it'll save a lot of heartache in the long term.
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

Fair enough. none currently available, so I unbent the shaft. May get creative with the shift lever... We shall see.
