Suzuki T350 New Carbs question

I'm restoring a 1971 T350 and after taking these carbs apart I've come to the conclusion that new carbs are the best option for my budget and time.

Has anyone installed a modern set of Mikuni round slides, or even Flat slides on this kind of bike?

What would be a good jet size to start with? I'm not doing any porting on the barrels, and running stock exhaust.


Any guidance is appreciated.

Are the Jet needles OK (no corrosion or wear) on your T350 OEM carbs? If so one option would be to use all the same brass sizes (needle jet, pilot, main, round slide cut, float valve) found in stock carbs and put into a new set of VM 32mm Mikuni.

I think the 1970-72 jet needle is obsolete. There was an earlier jet needle for the 1969 T350 (Comes with Keyster kit for T350... best that Keyster can reproduce), but then would use all the 1969 brass specs if that jet needle is used.


What is wrong with your stock carbs? Doing these T350/305 projects I had also thought carbs too far gone and need to replace. But in time found spares. So not sure I can help directly with cross accept that stock carbs from factory jetting is a good start

However, All my T350 engines run stock carbs work awesome., 32mm is a lot of carb for a street 157.5 cc engine but Suz made it work. I fund one size down on main is better for 3/4 throttle performance when running D&Gs for RD400
