and came home with THIS....................
I have a very soft spot for Suzuki's, being that a 50cc TrailHopper was my first bike back in 1971 and then got a 72 T350 to go to school on... I was the "out-cast" as ALL of my buddies had Honda CL/CB 350's with a electric starter.... but, it was ok as I blew past them on the road to we were going to meet up... and way... I still have to drive about 180 miles into central TX to pick up the bike AND my lift... I know I need to get the front brake rebuilt and get some air filters for it.... Here is the back story.. A list member for a TX. motorcycle web site has the lift for sale... he sold it in about 2 hours, but the add stayed posted... and I made a comment on the Susuki, the buyer NEVER showed up with the cash after 9 weeks of waiting... he reposted the add and I wanted the lift and made a commit about the Suzuki... He said to bring a extra 800.00 bucks I could take it home... From the pic's it looks nice.. BUT.. it runs and it looks to be at least 98% complete... I heed to pick up some new tires and see what I can do about upgrading the front brakes with a "newer" master cylinder, may be a SS hose and some better brake pads... So guys... what do you think....???? Talk to me

I wish I could find a deal like that. GT500 is a great bike.

Re: I wanted to buy a Handy Motorcycle Lift......
I picked up my lift yesterday and the seller will deliver the bike when he makes a trip to see his mom that lives south of Houston @ 4th July weekend... He's going to rebuild the front disc brake and clean the carbs before he makes the trip... WE just hope the air filters get delivered before then... That way he will deliver a RUNNING complete bike... 1I still need to get some NEW tires for it... What are people using on these old bike's these days....????

I like Bridgestone BT45s, but the Bridgestone S-11s are also quite good and last longer. It really depends on how aggressively you ride.

I just got off the phone with the seller.... bike will be here mid-week.... have tires, tubes, SS front brake hose, NEW master cylinder on there way............ BUT, still don't have a clue about the air filters... Wonder if I can fine some here in the Houston area.... I really don't want to run pod filters..............
