Thanks so the GT is orange flake. I ordered an OEM set from CSML and they are a solid dull red/orange, not flake so I think they are for another year.

The original badges were all 'glitter orange' but these are no longer made by Suzuki, who sell only the plain red ones now. There is a reproduction badge maker in Aus http://www.badgereplicas.com.au/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and I have had a pair for my GT550B, which were good. Just don't bend them more than you absolutely have to....they are less malleable than the originals and can and will snap! (don't ask me how I know).

The liquid cooled cylinder badges are no longer made in the older design such as yours, and the black painted sections have been worn off as well.

I know...the Kettle club used to sell them. I like the old liquid cooled badges so I'm going to paint them. I don't know if they were black or a blue black. The paint that is left has bluish tint. Same with the "S" on the mirrors.

It's surprising I can't find anything on the net that documents them that well.

I have some old Gold Flake GT 750 BADGES I bought and will use them. The bike is pretty original and in good shape so I'm going to just clean it up and keep all original. I even found a OEM luggage rack for it I wanted. The only thing is someone put K&N Pod filters on...I will lave them but change to Uni....I actually road this bike 3 years ago never knowing I would buy it and it was terrible on torque, I remember down shifting on small hills.

I'll clean the baffles, richen it a little, I think its too lean and I brought a 2 teeth larger rear sprocket...all that should give me a well balanced gearing for round town and hwy. It was geared way to tall and maybe losing some power. 15k miles...rings look fine, I have the exhaust off with no real blow by seen. I realized a compression test would tell me what's going on but no way am I pulling the barrels. I am pulling the head off, I found slight antifreeze in the cylinders...the bikes runs fine but I want to replace the head gasket while I have it apart now on my lift.

I'll take pic this weekend.
