I use aftermarket Mikuni VM carbs on the race engine, but no reason they could not be used on a road bike. I am not familiar with the carbs you mention though. i have rebuilt the bike ,i used after market jets needles etc it ran very poorly. i asked on another post about this and the general opinion was that the after market stuff is useless . so i put all the old parts back in the carbs it now runs but only for 30 seconds or so then dies as though it is starved of fuel.
