o-ring

well I posted it in the other thread but so people don't have to read the entire thing I thought id make it shorter,, I replaced the o-ring behind the front sprocket a long time ago ,,,well it started leaking so I just replaced it again with a spare o-ring I had,,,i guess back then I realized that there is 2 different size O-rings and the left over one I had was the wrong size but I just realized this after I used the smaller one,,,has anybody used the small o-ring when its supposed to be the big one? any problems? I have a 74 gt750 and I didn't realize they have 2 different size o-rings
, why???!!!!! antways I just rode it and I cant tell if its weeping oil or it that was left over oil but I'm just wondering why the 2 different sizes did they change the engine case ??? or what ?? and does it really matter which o-ring is used? I know that sounds stupid but I was thinking maybe they changed the size just because people were not getting the plate on with the o-ring still in place or I have no idea I just hate taking it all apart again ,,,,I cant believe I didn't remember that
