Are GT 380 calipers the same as the 550 and 750's ? I know the 550 and 750 calipers are interchangeable. What about T500 calipers also ?

I think the right hand caliper swaps 380/550/750 but something about the left one means it cannot be swapped to the right. Maybe the carrier? the caliper halves might be the same but the carrier is 'chiral'.

Left to right or right to left won't swap on any of the bikes because they would be facing the wrong direction. The mounts are located on the front side of the forks. Making it impossible to swap sides on any bike. I know for a fact a right side 550 caliper will work on a right side 750. Not sure if that's the case with the 380's. Perhaps the 380 rotor is smaller than the 550 and 750. Not sure about that. You could add a left side 750 caliper to a 550, even though it was manufactured to only come with the right side caliper. All you would have to do is add the 750 brake line manifold attached at the headstock to accept two brake lines rather than one. If the 380 forks and rotors are exactly the same as the other two bikes. Than they would all interchange if they are the same side caliper.

The T500 is drum brake.
The GT500 caliper is the same as the right 550/750/RE5 ones.

The are two sizes of rotors.
The GT250 & GT380 have the smaller size.
The GT500, GT550 & GT750 have the larger size.
